Iverson verbally agrees with Memphis Grizzlies:

According to MemphisOnline and AI’s twitter page it appears Iverson has agreed to sign with the Grizzlies. Here is a quote from AI’s twitter page:

“God Chose Memphis as the place that I will continue my career. I met with Mr. Heinsley, Chris Wallace and my next head coach Lionel Hollins”

It is said to be a $3.5 million, one year deal.

It has been announced that the Atlanta Hawks have now officially signed backup veteran forward Joe Smith. Joe is a nice addition to the team and will be coming off the bench behind Josh Smith and Al Horford.

Rockets & Pops Mensah-Bonsu reach verbal agreement:

According to the Associated Press the Houston Rockets and Mensah-Bonsu have reached a verbal agreement on a one-year deal. The 6′10, 206 pound forward split time between the Spurs and Raptors last season and has played in just 34 games over the past two years.

Orlando Magic sign Jason Williams:

The Orlando Magic signed Jason Williams today and since Jameer Nelson only played in 42 games last season, due a shoulder injury, White Chocolate could see a fair amount of minutes. Jason Williams retired last September for family reasons almost a month after he signed with the failing Clippers.

Four-player trade between the Bucks and Raptors now official:

A four-player trade between the Bucks and Raptors has now become official. This trade involves Amir Johnson and Sonny Weems going to Toronto; and Carlos Delfino and Roko Ukic going to Milwaukee. This gives the Raptors some finanicial space and the Bucks a great backup guard in Carlos Delfino. Delfino, 26, played in four NBA seasons before eventually joining the Russian team BC Khimki last summer.

Quentin Richardson traded for the 4th time:

Quentin Richardson has now been officially traded for the 4th time in 7 weeks. Richardson will be sent from Minnesota to the Miami Heat in exchange for Mark Blount. 

So let’s see Q-Rich was first traded before draft day for Darko Milicic. Later, the Clippers took him in exchange for Zach Randolph. Then, the Clippers sent him off for a package including Sebastian Telfair, Craig Smith, and Mark Madsen. Last but not least, he’s now in Miami in exchange for Mark Blount. Let’s hope for Q’s sake he stays put this time… at least for longer than 7 weeks.
