The New Orleans Hornets have agreed to trade Rasual Butler to the Clippers for a future conditional second round draft pick. Butler was scheduled to earn $3.945 million this season. This, of course, gives the Hornets a little financial freedom, and opens up the shooting guard position for Julian Wright, Morris Peterson, and James Posey.

This is an excellent deal for the Clippers giving more depth behind Eric Gordon.
